Thanks To You, Pinterest

There are days when I hate you, Pinterest. Days like today when I spot a 'pinned' teepee cupcake and think "that looks easy enough!" And then dash to the grocery for all my supplies. As I trot up and down the aisles searching high and low for my ingredients I am buoyed by the knowledge that this dessert will elicit oohs and ahhs from children and adults alike at tomorrows feast. In short my teepee cupcakes will rock the dessert table. I am positive of it. Oh, if it only it had been so blissfully easy.

First there was the issue of keeping the cones upright. On the third attempt I managed to attach a disposable pan over my strainer pot. This kept them somewhat upright- better than the first two attempts at least--but I was still left with an overflowing mess.

But then what happened?



Right, the innards dove into the chocolate coating. The same chocolate coating that was supposed to keep you tucked in your cone home all moist and yummy. At this point, Pinterest, I'm despising that I ever came across your cute teepee 'pin'.

But finally...

Finally it all came together and the cupcake teepee was born. Awww, aren't they cute?

Oh dear me...it's all just too much, Pinterest!
