Goodbye 3, Hello 4
She will never be three again, she likes to remind me. Now she is this many as she contorts her fingers to get 4 little fingers in the air. Oh this girl of mine! I love her so much.
I think her birthday was a very big success. I spent the morning with her at co-op and we celebrated with pink and purple cupcakes for the girls and blue and green for the boys. It took some effort to dye 4 batters and 2 icings but it was worth it. Later we had a pizza lunch with her bestie who gifted her a pink and purple pony and hello kitty sparkle nail polish. They so 'get' each other.
A box from Jessica arrived in the mail with practically a brand new wardrobe of hand-me-downs. Lizzie was quick to wear the "Pink is my favorite color!" tee. She paired it with the purple faux-uggs from Grandma Pam. Later a friend dropped off a decorate your own jewelry box, appropriately it was pink. Anyone sensing a theme?
Dad gave her some princess DVDs. She's never owned any. So far she (to my surprise) has yet to watch them although Mahlon has.. go figure. The big gift was an easel I picked up off Craigslist for $35! This thing is a monster and super sturdy. When Mahlon saw it he screamed, "That's Awesome!" "Can I use it too?" He loves art. So far they have both played together on it in relative peace. She must be feeling generous after getting so much. I'm certain it will be short lived. But for now I'll take it.
Happy Birthday "Little Love"

Happy Birthday, Lizzie! Four is one of my all-time favorite ages....pink-it up and enjoy! And way to go on that easel purchase. Very nice.
I still can't get over that the box arrived ON her birthday. ;) Great pictures. And where is the time going? Sigh...
Should I start sending some American Girl paraphernalia and drag you down with me? ;) It seems like Lizzie is walking down the Audrey girlie path step for step.
And which princess DVDs? I hope they are some of the better ones.
