Our elf, Funny Bunny Pants, made his annual appearance this morning. We have been eagerly awaiting his arrival since Thanksgiving. The kids found him after they opened the door for school. He apparently was trying to get in through the mail slot. He also brought a little note with him reminding them to be good. Thank you FBP. I've been needing some reinforcements.
I debated on when to start up our Elf on the Shelf. I was thinking of waiting till December 1st but that would mean tomorrow night I would have to remember to get him all set up. And since we won't be home, oh didn't I mention it? We are going to the White House for the National Christmas Tree Lighting...(la-dee-dah)... Actually, it's standing room only and we won't be all that close to the house. Details, details, why let the details get in the way...

I think I might need you to send me the text of your letter...looks like something that might be useful. Our elf will appear tomorrow. Nothing big going down in good old MV to distract me. :( Have a great time!
I think I missed out on this Elf thing...where does that come from? A movie or something?
And, oh.... totally jealous about the tree lighting outing. There is one scheduled on the post here Friday...but somehow I doubt that it will compare. I think we'll skip it in favor of a fire in the taverna.

Dana- Ohhhh... elf on the shelf! http://www.elfontheshelf.com/ It started as a small time thing with a mom and daughter and one little elf story and now it is full on Hollywood. The TV movie is coming out this Fri night. It's actually sort of fun thinking of different things to do with him. Every night he goes back to the N. Pole and reports if you were bad or good. In the morning he returns but you have to find him...good fun.
