On our last night on Perdido Key, Florida we grabbed a bottle of wine and hit the beach. The beach here was part of a federal park and was largely empty--which was perfect for when Lizzie opted to go topless, ahem. I loved our evenings at the beach probably more than anything. As a family we played in the water and on the sand, gathered shells, flew our kites, basically we just hung out until the sun went down. And yes, I am aware you are not allowed to bring alcohol to a federal or state park. In return for this infraction we brought extra bags and did our part to pick up any trash left behind by the day trippers. We're such good citizens...
